The Leadership & valor dinner

Public relations, marketing plan, content creation, project management

To increase awareness, The National Medal of Honor Center for Leadership planned to host a Leadership and Valor Dinner aboard the historic USS Yorktown in Mount Pleasant, S.C., next door to the future site of the organization’s $75 million Leadership Training Center.  As a hub for leadership education programming that will also offer a curated visitor experience, the center’s story carries regional implications. In addition to the dinner itself, the center needed event materials that were as elevated as the dinner itself. Flock and Rally created an integrated event marketing plan to get this story in front of the right people. Event assets were designed with a focus on telling the story of the organization and its goals.

Outreach efforts focused on public relations were integral to telling the larger story of development to the region. Cross-channel support from social media, web and newsletters kept the center's current stakeholders and audiences involved and engaged. Throughout the coverage of the event, we saw strong growth in email click through rates as well as social media metrics. The biggest impact was seen in a highly successful PR campaign. With a focus on local media and utilizing advance outreach, tailored press materials and on-site press management, we secured 34 pieces of total coverage, 15 articles and 19 broadcast clips.
