Flock and Rally Integrated Communications Purchases Building on Arsenal Hill in Downtown Columbia, S.C.

Flock and Rally, the women-owned integrated communications firm based in Columbia, S.C., has purchased a building at 1817 Gadsden Street in the historic Arsenal Hill district of downtown Columbia. The firm plans to renovate the building throughout Spring 2018 and will move its headquarters there from 701 Whaley later this year.

Located across the street from the South Carolina Governor’s Mansion, the brick building was built in 1967 and encompasses a main level as well as a split-level addition, with a rear parking lot. The firm is working with the architects at 1x1 Design to update the interior in keeping with contemporary design principles, and Kirk Construction will manage renovations. Brokerage services were provided by Robin Dial of Dial Real Estate, LLC, and financing was managed by Matthew Pollard at First Citizens Bank.

Founded by partners Debi Schadel and Tracie Broom in 2010, Flock and Rally has been a proud member of the 701 Whaley tenant community since 2011. “Our company has enjoyed steady growth at 701 Whaley,” says Schadel. “We have been very fortunate to be a part of the 701 Whaley community for 7 years.”

Flock and Rally is a boutique creative agency that launches new brands and manages integrated communications campaigns for a variety of clients including Central Carolina Community Foundation; EngenuitySC; Motor Supply; the University of South Carolina; the BullStreet District; 701 Center for Contemporary Art; Able South Carolina; Experience Columbia S.C.; the S.C. “Our mission is to rally our community around great ideas,” notes Broom. “Our team lives and breathes this mission, and we are excited to expand to a much larger space that will accommodate future growth.”
