Flock and Rally Takes Home Top Award at IABC/SC Palmetto Awards

Monday, Nov. 25, 2024 — Flock and Rally, an integrated communications and marketing agency headquartered in Columbia, South Carolina, was honored with three Palmetto Awards, including the prestigious “Star of Show.” The awards were presented by the International Association of Business Communicators’ South Carolina chapter (IABC/SC) at its 2024 annual awards ceremony.

Welvista Brand and Messaging Guidelines

Star of Show and Award of Excellence in Writing

Flock and Rally was recognized for its development of comprehensive brand and messaging guidelines for Welvista, a nonprofit that provides access to prescription medications for underserved South Carolinians and dental care for students in participating districts. The guidelines unified Welvista and its sub-brands under a cohesive framework, ensuring consistent messaging across platforms like social media, email and marketing materials. The project’s key message emphasized Welvista’s role as a compassionate lifeline, removing financial barriers to improve health outcomes and quality of life for those in need.

Palmetto Pride Brand Anthem Video

Award of Excellence in Audio/Visual

Flock and Rally also received an Award of Excellence for its work with Palmetto Pride, South Carolina’s leading anti-litter organization. Flock and Rally, in conjunction with The Pierson Collective, produced a brand anthem video showcasing Palmetto Pride’s statewide efforts to prevent litter, clean up communities and inspire residents to take pride in keeping South Carolina beautiful. The video highlighted cleanup actions across the state’s diverse regions and was designed for use in shorter, paid media cuts to maximize reach and impact.

Flock and Rally’s success at the Palmetto Awards follows a banner year, during which the agency won two Best in Show awards at the S.C. Public Relations Society of America (SCPRSA) Mercury Awards and a Gold ADDY at the American Advertising Federation (AAF Midlands) ADDY Awards, among other industry awards.
