York Technical College is a public, two-year institution offering associate degrees, diplomas and certificates in over 100 programs of study. The College prides itself in creating an inclusive learning environment, smaller classroom sizes and classroom settings with emerging technology. York Tech welcomes 5,000 to 7,000 credit students each year at its main campus in Rock Hill as well as at its off-campus center in Chester.

To recruit new students and employees, York Tech has developed enrollment campaign concepts with varying longevity. Flock and Rally was hired by York Tech in 2022to develop new campaign creative to support an integrated marketing campaign implemented by the College. The need was to provide YorkTech with creative assets that were both turnkey as well as flexible for long-term use by College marketing and communications staff.

The creative solution was combination of illustration and photography to offer a design aesthetic distinctive from other college marketing efforts, but not so complex that their own staff couldn’t replicate it in expanded mediums over time. The unique combination of illustration and photography showcased the variety of the student body as well as the different areas of study and degrees offered at York Tech. The final design product highlighted the transformation that happens with a degree from York Tech—individuals from diverse backgrounds achieving their goals toward a desired career.
